The 23-year-old Greek-Swedish beauty Elli Avram is all set to make her Bollywood debut as the love interest of Manish Paul in “MICKEY VIRUS”, directed by Saurabh Varma. Bollywood iGN caught this Greek model for random questions with Deepali.
• This happens to be your first movie. How did you get this film?
I got to know about this film Mickey Virus through a renowned photographer. I was just 3 months old in Mumbai and felt miserably in the first audition. That only made my determination stronger. Next day, I was given a 4 page script in Hindi, stressed, I couldn’t sleep that night but thankfully, it was worth all the effort because I got selected amongst 200 participants! I was on top of the world, in this struggling world, I got my first film within 3 months of landing in this city of dreams!
• What really promoted you to choose it as your first film?
I loved the script because it has a lot of layers in it and is perhaps a one of the first Bollywood film on hacking with a comic thriller as a theme.
• Tell us about your character in ‘Mickey Virus’
I play Mickey’s love interest. Whereas he is a Dilli ka jhalla I am a sweet fun loving girl from a premium family.
• How comfortable were you with your co-actors?
I was made super comfortable by the whole team. My Director Saurabh Varma created a warm and fun environment which made me give my best. My co-star Manish Paul supported me a lot too and we did a lot of workshops to be comfortable with the script. I have tremendous respect and understanding for Manish Paul and infect the whole team who went an extra mile to help each other.
• What inspired you to become a Bollywood actress? Was it your childhood dream?
Bollywood have always been my dream since childhood and I have always felt connected to India. My friends and family joke that I must have been an Indian in my previous life!
• Are you eyeing Hollywood?
Not right now because as I said earlier Bollywood is my dream and I feel like home when I am in India so I want to make a carrier here!
• How you are in your personal life?
I love to dance (I specialize in Indian, classical, Belly dance) , play soccer or workout in the Gym. My family is my closest friends, I share everything with them and love spending time with them. Whenever I get time I love to cook or bake a cake for my friends.
• So you are living all alone in Mumbai or do you have people around you?
I live with my family friends here and even my parents comes and visit me offen. They just came now and surprised me for my Birthday!
• Coming back to the film, how was the shooting experience in Delhi?
I’m in love with Delhi! I had a great experience shooting over there and the people in Delhi were super sweet. The food is awesome there and is so tempting specially when you have to go on a diet for the shoot!
• On an ending note, can we expect a best female debutant award for you for ‘Mickey Virus’?
I hope the audience will like my performance in Mickey Virus and accept me as a new actress in Bollywood. The rest is up to God.
